As they do every four years, the conventions will last for four days with the Democratic National Convention starting on August 17 and the Republican National Convention following a week later. As usual, they’ll feature political addresses, including acceptance speeches by President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden. And the coverage will still saturate prime-time television.But in other ways, the pandemic-era conventions will be unprecedented, at least in living memory.
