UW-Green Bay’s Master of Athletic Training Program Earns Valuable Accreditation – Green Bay News Network
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program earned valuable accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). CAATE is the current standard for professional athletic training programs as recognized by the Council for Higher Education.“This is a very important achievement for the UW-Green Bay MAT,” said Program Chair William Gear, “Accreditation from the CAATE allows graduates of the MAT to sit for the certification exam administered through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC). The Green Bay region provides a multitude of clinical education experiences for our students that prepare them for employment in a variety of healthcare settings.”
