Faculty note: Prof. VonDras interviewed

UW-Green Bay Professor. Dean D. VonDras (Psychology) was interviewed for the article, “If I Only Knew Then What I Know Now” by Victoria Jicha that appears in The Flutist Quarterly, Vol. 46, No. 4, a publication of the National Flute Association. VonDras provided his consultation and perspective for Ms. Jicha’s article that offers “guidance and hope for aging flutists facing the tough realities of staying creative.”  Key concerns discussed by Ms. Jicha with Professor VonDras included maintaining an identity as a musician and how we may find ways of making accommodation for the physical changes that occur as we ascend into later-life. Professor VonDras stressed being involved in physical activities and exercise at all ages as key in extending a flutist’s trade into later-life and retirement.
