Staged reading of Sutton play ‘Running Mates’ is Feb. 22

An accomplished writer and Founders Award-winning faculty member, Prof. Brian Sutton of Humanistic Studies is also a playwright. The campus community is invited to sample his romantic comedy Running Mates at 4 p.m. next Monday (Feb. 22) in the Jean Weidner Theatre of the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts.  The staged reading will run approximately one hour in length. Theatre Prof. John Mariano of Arts and Visual Design is the director. (A “staged reading” is rehearsed and includes some movement by actors but it is done with script in hand.) Cast members are Natalie Bridenhagen, Mike Roderique, Amy Kooiman, Derek Knabenbauer, Katie Sawyer, Tom Wolf and Heidi Free. Admission is free.
