Nominate Civic Scholars by April 10
The UW Green Bay Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) invites your nominations for the second class of the Civic Scholars Leadership program. Civic Scholars develops students’ leadership skills through civic engagement and professional development opportunities. The program works to inspire undergraduate students to grow into civic leaders in Wisconsin. In the fall semester, students will participate in weekly workshops and community visits with a specific sector focus such as: education, history and heritage, environment, arts and more. In the spring semester, students will have the opportunity to conduct an internship with a partner community agency. Students are nominated to apply and are selected at the end of their first year to become a cohort that will embark on the commitments of the program together.
CCE is currently seeking nominations for first-year students who may benefit from this program during their sophomore year. Approximately 15 students will be selected to participate. Please send the names and email addresses of your nominees to Ashley Heath (heatha@uwgb.edu) by April 10. If you have any questions, please contact Alison Staudinger (staudina@uwgb.edu) or David Coury (couryd@uwgb.edu).
