Screening, commentary on environmental terrorism film to be held Feb. 5
The campus and larger communities are invited to a free showing of the film “If a Tree Falls,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 in the Union’s Christie Theatre. The film explores two of today’s pressing issues — environmentalism and terrorism — by looking at the activities of the Earth Liberation Front, a radical environmental group that the FBI calls “America’s number one domestic terrorist threat.” The screening will be followed by local commentary from guest speakers Byron Goetsch (Wisconsin DNR) and Will Stahl (Sierra Club). It’s part of the iPat Environmental Film Series (impact = population*affluence*technology) sponsored by UW-Green Bay PEAC, Department of Public & Environmental Affairs and the Center for Public Affairs.
