Gypsy Trip and faculty musicians to be featured a Czech/Slovak luncheon
The breathtaking beauty and fascinating culture of the lands of the Czech and Slovak republics, along with the regional cuisine, will be celebrated at noon Friday, Sept. 27, during the University Union’s first Cultural Cuisine program of the semester. Music Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston will lead a presentation that describes historic folk traditions and modern society, and how UW-Green Bay students and faculty have traveled to the region and contributed to new developments and cultural exchanges. The luncheon includes a performance of Czech/Slovak music by musicians from the group Gypsy Trip and the UW-Green Bay faculty. Tickets, only $13 for faculty and staff, should be purchased in advance through the University Ticketing and Information Center. See the menu and more.
