The Universities of Wisconsin to award Capital Credit Union the Regents Business Partnership Award

Green Bay, Wis. – In a ceremony this afternoon, Universities of Wisconsin Regent Ashok Rai will present Capital Credit Union (CCU) with the Regent Business Partnership Award. The award is being presented to the locally owned credit union because of its support and collaboration with the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.

The presentation today is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at Capital Credit Union’s 825 Morris Avenue, Green Bay location. Capital Credit Union’s President and CEO, Laurie Butz, ’91, a UW-Green Bay alumna, will accept the award. Capital Credit Union supports UW-Green Bay in countless ways, including high-impact student internship opportunities, a partnership with the Green Bay Athletic program, providing financial literacy for students and offering employment opportunities for UW-Green Bay graduates.

Since 2022, Butz has served on the Cofrin School of Business Advisory Board, whose mission is to guide program offerings and build partnerships among students, faculty, staff and businesses. Butz also provides ongoing support to the Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership, actively supporting the membership through instruction, advocacy and financial support. In addition, Capital Credit Union is a philanthropic supporter of both UW-Green Bay Athletics and the Charles Schwab Foundation Center for Financial Wellness.

UW-Green Bay Chancellor Michael Alexander and the Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman will also be in attendance.
