STEAMFest 2023 highlights Sheboygan and Manitowoc-area businesses to bring STEAM education to more than 1,500 area elementary school students

STEAMFest 2023 to be held on UW-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus for first time
Green Bay, WI – Local fourth and fifth grades students will experience a day of full STEAM immersion at STEAMFest on both UW-Green Bay additional locations in Sheboygan and Manitowoc in the next week. Uniquely, STEAMFest features local industries in partnership with STEAM educators to highlight how these concepts are applied locally, right here, right now.
The second annual event is happening in Sheboygan tomorrow.

UW-Green Bay Sheboygan Campus
- In collaboration with the Sheboygan Chamber of Commerce’s Business and Education Committee, UW-Green Bay’s College of Science, Engineering and Technology, the Einstein Project and regional business leaders
- 50 participating business and community organizations
- Over 1500 4th and 5th graders from Sheboygan County attending
- Every student attending will get a UW-Green Bay Phoenix drawstring backpack
New this year, UW-Green Bay Manitowoc campus is hosting the event on Monday.

- In collaboration with the Manitowoc Chamber of Commerce’s Partners in Education Committee, UW-Green Bay’s College of Science, Engineering and Technology, the Einstein Project and regional business leaders
- 25 participating business and community organizations
- Over 500 4th and 5th graders from Manitowoc County attending
- Every student attending will get a UW-Green Bay Phoenix drawstring backpack
The collaborative event will provide hands-on, STEAM-focused demonstrations for students from across both Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties. STEAM demonstrations will focus on robotics, skilled trades, engineering, physics, technology, health care, food safety/quality and chemistry.
“We are thrilled to share innovative and hands-on STEAM experiences with our future learners,” said James Schramm, executive director for the UW-Green Bay Sheboygan and Manitowoc Campuses. “Being the only engineering school in the lakeshore region and the only public university option located in the lakeshore region our campuses are a natural fit to collaborate on this event.”
