Phoenix women’s soccer team claims playoff win

The Green Bay women’s soccer team hadn’t qualified for the Horizon League tournament since 2009, won a tournament match since 2004, or won a playoff game at home since 1994. All of which made Monday night’s quarterfinal win at Santaga Stadium, 3-1 over Youngstown State, all the more special. Coach Kacey Burke’s team improved its record to 11-6-1 heading into a semifinal match Thursday night at top-seeded Valparaiso. Read more.
