Game Over! Rage quitting in contemporary gaming culture event on Wednesday
Join fellow gamers and college professors on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at noon to learn more about rage quitting. Rage quitting—abandoning a game or activity because of a surge of anger—is ever-present in contemporary gaming culture. As part of the 2022-2023 Common CAHSS event series, Dr. Juli Case and Chris Williams are joined by anger researcher Prof. Ryan C. Martin to discuss why we rage quit, what that says about us, and what we can do about it. They will do all of this while playing Ultimate Chicken Horse, a game that can often lead to frustration. Speakers: Dr. Juli Case Dr. Chris McAllister Williams Dr. Ryan Martin.
This is a virtual event live streaming from Good Game Green Bay – the Center for Games and Interactive Media’s Twitch Channel.
