UW-Green Bay reveals 70 in a Flash Campaign
A memo from UW-Green Bay Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Gail Sims-Aubert, outlined a way for UW-Green Bay students who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to be eligible for a series of discount opportunities and prize drawings throughout the early fall semester.
UW System President Tommy Thompson introduced the 70-for-70 campaign weeks ago, promoting vaccinations as the best way to get back to normal campus activities. UW-Green Bay’s incentive program is called 70 in a Phlash. See more about the incentives at this website.
If UW-Green Bay students attain a 70% vaccination rate by October 15, 2021, a number of $7000 scholarships will be given away to UW-Green Bay students who have registered their vaccination with the University. Scholarships will be applied towards spring 2022 tuition.
“Many of you have already chosen to vaccinate,” said Sims-Aubert in the e-mail to students. “Thank you for taking this important step in keeping yourself and those around you safe from the virus. If you are someone who is fully vaccinated (two weeks post final injection of a WHO-approved vaccine), please be sure to register your vaccination information with the University via this form. Vaccination verification can include a legible image of a personal vaccination card or an official record obtained from the Wisconsin Immunization Registry.”
UW-Green Bay, in partnership with Prevea Health, will be hosting a vaccination clinic on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hendrickson Community Center (3350 Leon Bond Drive). Students from all four campuses are eligible for this promotion.
