Class of 2014, by the numbers: The skinny on Saturday’s grads
Fresh from our friends in the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, we’ve got a by-the-numbers look at this year’s graduating class. Nearly 900 students are eligible to participate in Saturday’s (May 17) commencement ceremonies, meaning they plan to complete coursework this semester (763 students) or this summer (134). Two-thirds of grad candidates are women, 10 percent are students of color, and in total they hail from 29 U.S. states, six countries and nine First Nations tribes or bands. Business Administration once again tops the list of most popular majors, followed by Human Biology, Interdisciplinary Studies, Psychology, and Human Development to round out the top five.
