UW-Green Bay Marketing and University Communication wins WISCOMSIN Awards, Richter-Landers honored

The Madison and Northeast Wisconsin chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) celebrated the creative, innovative, responsive and expert talents and contributions of communications professionals in the state with the 2022 WisCOMsin Awards on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

UW-Green Bay received a number of awards, among them, Social Media Director Jena Richter Landers was named “Young Professional of the Year.”

The second annual PRSA state awards program was held virtually and honored the top communications, public relations and marketing achievements by Wisconsin professionals in 2021. The event included project-based awards and prestigious practitioner honors bestowed on individuals and a group.

The highest-scoring entry in each project category earned an Award of Excellence. The UW-Green Bay winners were as follows:

• Content Creation – J Streed Communications and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for their entry: “Former Phoenix Returns to the Nest,” a feature story about Prof. Aaron Weinschenk.
• Digital Tactics – University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for its entry: “LifeatUWGB Instagram Takeover Account.”

Practitioner award:

• Young Professional of the Year – Jena Richter Landers, digital communication specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay
