Tonight: Culture of Fusion program features ‘The Latin Tinge’
As part of his residency at UWGB this week, NYC/Chilean saxophonist Anibal Rojas is joined by Adam Gaines (trumpet), Christine Salerno (piano), Stefan Hall (guitar), Ben Hogan (percussion), Mark Urness (bass) and Mike Malone (drums) in performances and discussion about Latin music and its effect on the world of jazz. History professor Clif Ganyard will discuss the historical perspective of Latin music here and abroad. The concert and presentation is from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 in Fort Howard Hall of the Weidner Center. It is free and open to the public.
