Green Bay women’s basketball receives at-large WNIT bid
GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay women’s basketball team is set to host Minnesota at the Kress Center in the WNIT opening round Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 7 p.m. CT. GB is making its sixth WNIT appearance all-time, with Thursday’s game marking just the second time the Phoenix has hosted. The last time GB competed in the postseason WNIT was the 2018-19 season, when they hosted Kent State at the Kress Center. The Phoenix fell in that game, 64-59.
The Phoenix will look to grab its first ever WNIT win Thursday night against a familiar postseason foe. GB and Minnesota squared off in the first round of the 2014 WNIT, with Minnesota coming out on top 62-60. Green Bay is 6-8 all-time against the Golden Gophers.

General admission tickets ($10 each) will go on sale on Tuesday, March 15 at noon. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online (link will be provided later), or by calling the Phoenix Ticket Office at 920-465-2625.
