Oskey named first-team all Horizon League

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Monday afternoon the Horizon League office announced the #HLWBB All-League Awards, and the Green Bay women’s basketball team was represented in multiple categories. Hailey Oskey was named All-League First Team, Bailey Butler was named the Freshman of the Year, Sixth Player of the Year, and All-Freshman Team, while Maddy Schreiber was also named to the All-Freshman Team.

Oskey, a junior guard from Seymour, Wis. is the team’s leading scorer and primary scoring option. On the year, she is averaging 13.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game but has been even better against HL opponents. Out of 18 Horizon League games, Oskey has scored in double figures 14 times and is averaging 14.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 44.5-percent from the floor, 40.8-percent from three, and 88.7-percent from the charity stripe. Oskey had a career-best performance in GB’s season finale against Cleveland State to lock up the HL No. 3 seed. Against the Vikings, she scored 26 points and grabbed five steals, going 9-for-12 from the free-throw line.
