UW-Green Bay students win 23 ‘ADDY’ Awards
UW-Green Bay students have captured 23 Northeast Wisconsin Student ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Fox River Ad Club.
An award presentation will be held at 8 p.m. on March 18, at the Meyer Theatre, 117 S. Washington St., in Green Bay. Design Arts students and Journalism students will be recognized for their efforts in student advertising.
Justin Seidl and Kelly Kramp will receive Gold ADDYs in the Interactive Category for their efforts on the Shorewood Golf Course website.
Alex Anchutz, Abe Clark, Ryan Krier, Mitchell Nast, Nia Ottman, Sam Pecard, Ashley Sigl, Adam Biemeret, Sarah Duchow, Jake Etheridge, Mike Powell, Phillip Block, Christopher Livieri, Lisa Schroeder, Josh Loyd, Brian Pensinger, Geraldine Staco, Matthew Yahnke and Jacob Aspenson will receive Gold ADDYs in the Series Category for their work with Voyageur Magazine’s Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall issues.
Silver ADDYs in the Poster Category will be presented to Christopher Livieri for a Libbie Schrader poster; Adam Wiesner and Adi Redzic for a Backyard Bash poster; and Adam Wiesner for AIMS Korea poster.
The ADDYs recognize excellence in advertising throughout Northeastern Wisconsin, the second largest market in the state. Winners at the local level advance to the district level, which is comprised of North and South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin, and then to the national level.
“We had three judges from out of the area — St. Louis, Cedar Rapids and Nashville,” said Susan Levitte, Vice President of the AAF Fox River. “Each judge had a unique experience and specialty to offer in the judging process. The work is graded much like a class would be based on percentages. All three judges’ totals are averaged to determine the overall score and if it qualities for Gold or Silver ADDY awards.”
