Melissa Nash receives HR Excellence Award
Congratulations to UW-Green Bay Human Resources Supervisor, Melissa Nash, who received a CUPA-HR Midwest Region Human Resources Excellence Award. This regional and national award honors transformative HR work in higher education, recognizing teams or individuals who have provided HR leadership resulting in significant and ongoing organizational change within their institutions. Nash was nominated for her work with improving inclusive excellence and promoting diversity within the workforce at the University. Specifically, Nash spearheaded programs requiring implicit bias training for search committees and chairs; made modifications to the waiver process to ensure greater representation of diverse candidates in under-represented positions; and provided subject matter expertise to many areas on campus in regards to equal employment and inclusiveness. “This is a very well-deserved honor and shows that peers are equally as impressed with Melissa and UW-Green Bay’s efforts to obtain a more inclusive workforce,” said Christopher Paquet, assistant vice chancellor for policy and compliance.
