D2L upgrade shifted to overnight Jan 15

Due to an unresolved intermittent-performance issue identified in the test environment, the D2L upgrade will now now take place from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, to 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16. (The upgrade was originally scheduled for this week, Wednesday night.) The Learn@UW Utility team has carefully weighed the issue in consultation with UW System Administration. On the basis of these discussions, the upgrade was postponed one week. “They understand the significant impact this scheduling change will have across the broad UW System community and they do not make this decision lightly,” a statement from UWGB’s Academic Technology Services says. “This upgrade will affect all UW Campuses, not just UW-Green Bay. This will require a complete outage of D2L. No one will be able to access the system during the 12-hour upgrade time. We expect the new version will be available and fully functional at 10 a.m. on the morning of January 16th. Please plan accordingly and let us know if you have any questions.”
