GB to host WNIT
Scott Venci from the Green Bay Press-Gazette previewed the Green Bay women’s basketball team’s hopeful run in the WNIT. It’s the first time the Phoenix is hosting a tournament game and allows the seniors, Jen Wellnitz and Laken James and forward Carly Mohns, to play at least one more time in front of the home crowd. Coach Kevin Borseth wasn’t sure whether his team would get to play at the Kress. “We never had any opportunity in postseason play to ever play in front of the home fans. That’s pretty cool. Doesn’t guarantee us anything, but it’s pretty cool.” See more.
