Faculty note: Weinschenk publishes political psychology research
Assistant Professor of Political Science Aaron Weinschenk recently had a peer-reviewed journal article accepted for publication in the Journal of Social and Political Psychology, an interdisciplinary outlet that publishes work at the intersection of social psychology and politics. Weinschenk is a political scientist by training, but does a great deal of research that integrates ideas from psychology. Weinschenk’s research focuses on understanding how individual personality traits and negative political messages interact to influence the decisions that people make to get involved in or stay away from politics.
