Addy Award for Addie’s ‘Cabaret’ poster design

The community Addy Award program for professional achievements in advertising, marketing and graphic design resulted in several awards going to UW-Green Bay alumni and employees. We’ll focus on one right now: The poster for Music/Theatre’s big 2012 return to the Weidner Center mainstage with “Cabaret” won a silver award for best poster design. Artist Addie Sorbo is a UW-Green Bay graduate and current lecturer in Art and Design. Her poster incorporated the glitz and glam of 1930s Berlin while also reflecting the dark rise of the Nazi movement. See more.
