UW-Green Bay’s Pletcher, Trombley are ‘People You Should Know in 2010’
The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 5th annual BBJ magazine’s “People You Should Know” selections Thursday night, recognizing 31 local individuals, including Associate Provost for Information Services Kathy Pletcher and Director Christina Trombley of UW-Green Bay’s Small Business Development Center, for having made significant impacts in their field.
The full list will appear in the February/March 2010 issue of the Chamber’s BBJ (Bay Business Journal) magazine. “(We are) honoring some of the mainstays in our community,” said Paul Jadin, president of the Chamber. “These individuals — all of whom have made a significant mark in their respective fields — play a significant role in making life “Better on the Bay.”
In the category of economic development, Trombley was lauded for being “a supporter of the little guys” — small business — while Pletcher was singled out for being a champion of libraries and related campus and community initiatives. Profiles of Pletcher, Trombley and all the honorees can be found in the online version of the BBJ magazine, at www.titletown.org.
