Visiting scholar/artist brings ‘Eco-acoustics’ to UW-Green Bay
Sound artist and professor Matthew Burtner will visit the UW-Green Bay campus this week to perform in a solo recital-lecture at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (March 24) in the Weidner Center’s Fort Howard Hall. Admission is free, but there’s limited seating of 200. At 7:30 p.m. Friday (March 26), UW-Green Bay faculty, guests and students will join Burtner for a multi-media performance in the Weidner’s Cofrin Family Hall. Admission is $5 for students and $15 for others. Burtner, a UVA professor (small world), will also visit classes and work with students to stress environmental concerns. His visit is part of this year’s Campus Common Theme, “Realizing Our Sustainable Future.” More information.
