For all Humanists: COVE Collective workshop on Zoom

COVE Collective Workshop

Friday, February 10

The COVE Collective will offer another introductory workshop to help you learn how to use the tools at COVE Editions (a timeline-, map-, and gallery-builder), led by Laura Rotunno and Rebecca Nesvet. Both have a lot of experience using the tools in a variety of ways and are eager to help you find the ways that will fit your needs.

This workshop will occur on Friday, February 10th, 2023, at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. GMT, 7 p.m. CET.

Please email Laura Rotunno if you are interested at: ler12@psu.edu.

Unlike other workshops that have focused on COVE Studio (where you build anthologies of primary texts for reading and annotation with students), Laura and Rebecca will concentrate on the public-facing tools at COVE Editions: a timeline-builder, map-builder, and gallery-builder. They will show you how to use these tools, reveal how the tools were used to create some of the most recently published peer reviewed COVE Editions, and guide you through a brainstorming of a COVE map, timeline, or edition of your own. Great for graduate and undergraduate group projects!

COVE is non-profit and designed to fight against the corporatization of education. It was created by and is owned by NAVSA. See below for more information, and visit their web site.
