Dornbush to offer tips on backyard habitat
Prof. Matt Dornbush, Natural and Applied Sciences, is the featured speaker this Wednesday evening (Oct. 5) at Kavarna, 143 N. Broadway. His topic is “Less In, More Out — The Benefits of Landscaping with Native Plants.” The organization Wild Ones Green Bay is promoting the free community talk, which promises tips on reducing or eliminating pesticides and fertilizers, reducing time spent on mowing and watering, attracting birds and butterflies, and creating a beautiful yard. Wednesday’s gathering features a 6:30 p.m. social before the 7 p.m. talk.
