UWGB offers free memberships in Current to recruit/retain young talent

One of UW-Green Bay’s strategic goals involves efforts to recruit, develop, and retain faculty and staff members who meet the needs of a dynamic academic institution. That’s one of the reasons UWGB and the Human Resources Office has enrolled the University as a corporate member of Current, Greater Green Bay’s young professionals network.

As an employee, you are entitled to a free membership in Current. Current’s programming is carefully balanced to offer a variety of activities that consider both the professional and social needs of young professionals including a diverse selection of events ranging from organized social outings to speakers on a variety of professional development topics pertinent to young professionals. You pick and choose your level of involvement. You can enroll online in just a few short minutes. Also online are event calendars and pricing info for optional special-event activities and options. You can pay event fees as you go but if you anticipate active participation, consult your supervisor about utilizing staff development and training funds to support your involvement. The next Current event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 4.
