Photo gallery: Celebrating ‘Kuumba: Creativity’ at Kwanzaa
It was a celebration of “Kuumba: Creativity” when UW-Green Bay, in partnership with St. Norbert College, hosted its annual community Kwanzaa Celebration last weekend (Dec. 3, 2016). Kuumba: Creativity is the sixth Kwanzaa principle which means “to do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.”
The celebration featured African dancing with Nefertari Dance Company and dinner. Kimberly Barrett, Lawrence University’s vice president for diversity and inclusion and associate dean of the faculty, was the keynote speaker.
