The world’s shift to clean energy will require significant financial investments. UW-Green Bay alumnus, Koenraad (Koen) Driessens ’91 is a director at Denham Capital, an investment firm that puts private dollars to work building sustainable, low-cost power solutions around the globe. He was the selected speaker for the Business Week Keynote and Networking Event.
His talk, “Power In Africa – Doing Well by Doing Good” focused on how today’s investors are interested in not only a good return on their money, but also a positive social and environmental benefit, and how this shift is having an impact around the world.
Driessens is fluent in Dutch and conversant in French and German. He received a Bachelor of Science from UW-Green Bay and a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Marquette University. The annual event gives Cofrin School of Business students an opportunity to mingle with faculty and members of the business community.
