New Nursing 1-2-1 program gets local news coverage
Fox 11 did a thorough story on the new Nursing 1-2-1 partnership between UW-Green Bay and NWTC. The program launches this fall with a focus on getting more nurses in the field. “These nursing students are admitted directly into the program right in the beginning,” explained Christine Vandenhouten, the chairperson for nursing at UW-Green Bay. “The idea of the program is really to push for a greater BSN prepared nursing workforce,” explained Susan Gallagher-Lepak, the Dean of UW-Green Bay’s College of Health, Education and Social Welfare.
