UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center (SBDC) consultant Dave Stauffacher awarded 2023 State Star
Yearly, each Small Business Development Center in the state recognizes and honors a State Star. The State Star meets the following criteria:
- Be an exemplary performer
- Makes a significant contribution to their state or regional SBDC program
- Shows a strong commitment to small business
UW-Green Bay SBDC consultant, David Stauffacher was nominated and awarded by the SBDC Wisconsin Network 2023 State Star. Dave was also the recipient of the 2019 State Star award.
According to the nomination submission, in 2022, Dave completed 162 Professional Development hours, 122 Customer Focused hours, and 89 Stakeholder Focused hours. Dave is dedicated to establishing community relationships and contributing to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In 2022, he consulted 328 clients (#2 in state, 331 #1), with 812 hours of contact/prep, $10.05 million in capital (#5 in the state), and 15 starts (#8 in state).
Dave has been assisting the Capital Access team in a leadership role, working with student intern and mentoring Eau Claire SBDC consultants. He has served on SBDC network hiring committees for Oshkosh and La Crosse, offers continual consulting efforts with capital metrics for SBDC River Falls, implemented Green Bay center E-newsletter, serves and attends community stakeholder activities, such as Business Lending Partners CDC Loan committee (5th year), Green Bay Packer Mentor Protégé (4th year), SCORE volunteer (11th year), Forest County EDC Loan Committee, Oconto County EDC Loan Committee, Door County EDC Loan Committee and local Chamber events.
Dave leads by example and continues to be a top performer in the state. His positive attitude and collaborative team approach is unique and appreciated by his peers and SBDC family.
