Center for Personal Financial Planning launches new podcast
The UW-Green Bay Center for Personal Financial Planning at the Cofrin School of Business is excited to announce a new podcast!
The newly launched podcast goes by the name of “NEW Money”, and is hosted by UW-Green Bay Assistant Professor of Finance, Preston Cherry.
“NEW Money” has candid and entertaining conversations about the intersection and domains of life and money matters to help increase the financial well-being of the students of UW-Green Bay and the NEW (Northeastern WI) community. The scope of money matters ranges between technical and psychology topics, including household and small businesses. “NEW Money” will also serve as a professional development platform for students and firms in Northeast Wisconsin in the financial advisory profession.
The first episode features Liz Carey, an award-winning journalist, author, and freelance writer with over 20+ years of experience. Across the arch of her life, Carey has endured the ebbs and flows where life and money intersect. Her resilience to process the emotions and events of life with empathy, vulnerability, and an aspiration to create her and her family’s life design is a story you’ll want to hear. Liz shares how personal finance tools and teaming up with a financial planner are full of transformative experiences. She encourages people to engage with their money journey to improve their life and financial well-being.
