With just over a month before March Madness begins, Green Bay men’s and women’s basketball is looking to get into the Big Dance this year. The Phoenix men have won six of their last nine games, all against conference opponents. The team has also shown an ability to win close games, with all six of those wins being by six points or less. The team returns home Thursday, Feb. 27 against Youngstown State at 7 p.m. at the Resch Center.
The Green Bay women’s basketball team has won seven of its last nine games heading into this weekend’s action on the road. The team faces conference-leading IUPUI on Sunday before returning home for a 1 p.m. game on Thursday at the Kress Center. Both Green Bay hoops teams play their regular season finale during UW-Green Bay’s Homecoming Week as part of the Krash the Kress event on Saturday, Feb. 29. The women’s basketball team hosts Youngstown State at 2 p.m., while the men’s basketball team hosts Cleveland State at 7 p.m. Both games are at the Kress Center and will also serve as Senior Night.
