Alumnus Glen Tilot wins prestigious award
Nominated by UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof. Joan Groessl (Social Work) and the UW-Green Bay Social Work program, alumnus Glen Tilot (Social Work) ’81 received the National Association of Social Work-Wisconsin Chapter 2018 Distinguished Social Worker Award. “I was able to bring a guest and was excited to bring Richard Jansen the UWGB Social Work instructor whose Human Relations Skills Class was responsible for me deciding to major in social work back in 1979,” Tilot wrote in a social media post. “The highlight of the ceremony was being able to thank Richard personally in my acceptance speech. It’s humbling to think I was even considered for nomination much less being the recipient. I’ve truly been blessed in my career.”
