UW-Green Bay Sheboygan Campus hosts Wisconsin’s inaugural Junior Achievement (JA) Stock Market Challenge

Close to 60 local high school students will participate in the innovative challenge today, December 13, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Sheboygan Campus will be bustling today with high school students eager to test their simulated ‘real-world’ investment strategy. The JA Stock Market Challenge is a live simulation where students take what they learned in the classroom, through the JA Take Stock in your Future curriculum, and apply it to the real world. JA area mentors facilitate fast-paced competitions based on a fictional marketplace. Students can compete in teams or individually, in person or remotely.

9:00am-9:20am Welcome & Introduction by Emcee: Jerry Jones
9:20am-9:50am JA Stock Market Challenge begins with Opening Bell!
- 60 minute simulation
- 60 trading days
- Each trading day is 60 seconds long
9:50am-10:00am Break & Snacks (10 min break after day 30)
