Kwanzaa celebration this Saturday

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites students, faculty, staff and members of the community to a free Kwanzaa celebration on Saturday, Dec. 4 at the KI Convention Center, 333 Main St. in downtown Green Bay.

The event, which is a celebration of African-American heritage and culture, will feature performances by a gospel youth choir and the Nia Dancers.

Rob Davis, the director of player development for the Green Bay Packers, is the featured speaker at the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The program is sponsored by the UW-Green Bay Office of Student Life, American Intercultural Center, Education Department and St. Norbert College.
