UW-Green Bay music professor to perform in Sturgeon Bay
UW-Green Bay music professor Sarah Meredith Livingston will perform an evening of art songs on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 5:30 p.m. at the Hope United Church of Christ, 141 S. 12th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.
Meredith, a mezzo-soprano, will be joined by guest artists Brad Liebl, a baritone from the University of Capetown, South Africa and Kathy Kraulik, a pianist from St. Paul, Minnesota.
The program will feature the music of German Romantic composer Robert Schumann. This year marks the 200th anniversary of Schumann’s birth. He was one of the leading art song composers of the Romantic Period.
The program will also feature works by American composers Stephen Foster, Samuel Barber and Stephen Sondheim. Admission is free but donations will be welcome.
