UW-Green Bay Recruitment Partner of the Year Award goes to Schenck

GREEN BAY-University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Career Services presented its 2008 Recruitment Partner of the Year Award to Schenck Business Solutions in ceremonies on Tuesday, Feb. 12 during the University’s annual Recruitment Update event at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts.

The Recruitment Partner of the Year recipient is selected from among nominations, and recognizes organizations for participating in programs that lead to internships and post-graduate employment for UW-Green Bay students and demonstrate support for the mission of Career Services and the University by providing opportunities that “connect learning to life” for students and graduates.

Schenck is a full-service CPA and business consulting firm with 59 shareholders, more than 500 employees, and nine locations throughout Wisconsin. The award was presented by Steve Swan, UW-Green Bay assistant chancellor for University Advancement, and acknowledged by Schenck President Bill Goodman and Dennis Langenberg, managing partner of Schenck’s Green Bay office. Linda Peacock-Landrum is UW-Green Bay director of Career Services.

The Recruitment Partner of the Year Award was first given in 2007, when the award went to WPS Resources Corp.

About 70 attended the annual Recruitment Update for representatives of organizations that work closely with the UW-Green Bay Career Services Office.
