Dietetic interns from UW-Green Bay served Convoy of Hope

Shelly Gavel, dietetics internship director for UW-Green Bay’s Human Biology program, shares a recap of the Convoy of Hope a few weeks ago. Student volunteers from the program pitched in and, among other things, offered one-on-one counseling on weight loss, diabetes and healthy eating for children at the one-day event hosted by Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. It was a big event, with 3,805 guests served, 1,000 free pairs of shoes distributed, and more than 11,000 bags of groceries distributed to citizens in need.
