Pay reduction is 3.065 percent
Left over from Wednesday’s big furlough forum for UW-Green Bay employees: Those who are paid biweekly learned that if they do the math on their next paycheck, most will see a 3.188 percent reduction from what their pay should have been. That’s larger than the 3.065 necessary on an annualized basis only because the state of Wisconsin and UW System finalized furlough policies too late to factor the accompanying pay reductions into the first paycheck for July. The overall reduction for the 2009-10 fiscal year, therefore, will be spread over only 25 pay periods instead of 26.
