Hmong Day Celebration becomes official with help from former Manitowoc Campus student

On April 19 at 6:30 p.m, Mayor Justin Nickels signed a resolution making May 14 the official Hmong Day Celebration in Manitowoc. Pa Lee (alumna of Manitowoc Campus, AA ’20) was instrumental in bringing the resolution forward.

Manitowoc is the second city in Wisconsin to create a Hmong Day Celebration.  Appleton was first.  Minnesota has had a statewide Hmong Day for years.
