Cofrin School of Business celebrates both students and community businesses with their Keynote & Networking event
Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual Cofrin School of Business Keynote & Networking event last week! This event is all about strengthening our connection with the community, helping to elevate the experiences of students and recognizing the outstanding work of business leaders in Northeastern Wisconsin.
For the first time in many years, the number of students in attendance actually outnumbered the number of community professionals, and RSVP numbers were higher overall than ever before. While networking can be intimidating for students, we’re so proud of those who took a step outside of their comfort zone to participate. It’s a testament to the shifting culture in the Cofrin School of Business toward experiential learning and hands-on opportunities. Growing numbers of students recognize these opportunities’ value and are taking advantage of them!
This year we were honored to feature Mr. Jim Filter, Executive Vice President, Group President Of Transportation And Logistics at Schneider, as the Keynote speaker. Mr. Filter spoke on the “Importance of Leadership and Innovation in Supply Chain and Logistics,” providing both concrete examples from Schneider, and lessons on leadership philosophy through a dynamic discussion with the audience. Thank you to Mr. Filter and to Schneider!
Congratulations to this year’s winners of the Weyenberg Prize for Business Excellence, Logistics Recycling, Inc. and Breakthrough!
