The Weidner was buzzing with energy at the annual event on February 25, 2025 that provides UW-Green Bay students the opportunity to network and learn from regional business leaders.

In addition to updates from the Cofrin School of Business and student, faculty, and staff awards aligned with the college’s values, the annual Weyenberg Prize recipients were announced. In recognition of Tim Weyenberg’s personal, business and community impact, UW-Green Bay presents The Weyenberg Prize for business excellence in his honor. Research and experience have shown that business excellence is driven by leadership transformation, strategy and execution. This year’s winners, Earth Development and Capital Credit Union fully represent this excellence.

The keynote speaker for the event was Ron Dunford, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Schreiber Foods since 2019. He is Schreiber’s eighth President and CEO and has spent more than 40 years in the dairy industry. Dunford highlighted his five principles for embracing possibility: dream big, expect success, take action, do good, and have fun. All of these together outline how we can each strive to go beyond the status quo to reach big goals and make a difference in the world!

More than 60 students were able to make important career connections and ask questions from community members in attendance. In total, approximately 200 people participated in this energizing event!
