A note from Clif Ganyard about accreditation
“It will be a big year for UW-Green Bay, as 2017 marks UW-Green Bay’s 10-year Comprehensive Accreditation Review. This means that the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), one of several organizations in the United States recognized by the Department of Education, will review the University based on several academic and practical criteria addressing mission, educational quality and integrity, as well as compliance with federal regulations and academic progress as expressed in such efforts as the Quality Initiative. You can learn more about the HLC here, and about our particular accreditation pathway, the Open Pathway, here. Many of you have been helping me (Associate Provost Clif Ganyard) over the past year and a half begin to prepare for this review, which will culminate in an on-campus visit by HLC reviewers in October. As part of our preparation for that visit, three forums have been scheduled. Please mark your calendars and feel free to stop by at any time during the forum to ask questions or talk about UW-Green Bay’s progress toward accreditation. Drafts of several of the documents will be prepared for you to review as well. Forum dates and times:
-March 7, 1:30 to 3 p.m. 1965 Room, University Union
-March 8, 9 to 10:30 a.m. 1965 Room, University Union
-March 9, 2:30 to 4 p.m., 1965 Room, University Union”
