Green Bay women inch closer to first place, see your Phoenix in action
With a huge win over league-leading Wright State on Saturday, the Green Bay women’s basketball team is only a half-game behind the Raiders in the race for first place as the season winds down. GB held the Raiders to a season-low 37 points and a 0-for-19 performance from beyond the arc on its way to a 56-37 win. The Green Bay women’s program also raised nearly $9,000 to benefit Ribbon of Hope in its search for a cure for breast cancer.
Playing four of its next six games at home, the Green Bay men will host Oakland (Thu.) and Detroit Mercy (Sat.) at the Resch Center this week. Thursday’s game against the Golden Grizzlies will be Bud Light Night and Student-Athlete Academic Achievement Night, while Saturday’s game against the Titans will be Scout Day.
