Mark your Calendar: Black History Month Celebration Kickoff Event
Please consider attending UW-Green Bay’s 2019 Black History Month Celebration Kick-off Event, Monday, Feb. 4 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the 1965 Room, University Union (2430 Campus Court), Green Bay Campus. No RVSP is needed. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. During the event, interactive performance by nationally known spoken word artist, writer, educator, organizer and motivational speaker Kwabena Antoine Nixon. In addition, there will be opportunities to hear from UW-Green Bay Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Dr. Eric Arneson, meet and network with multicultural college students, staff and faculty and local Green Bay community leaders.
Black History Month activities begin on Saturday, Feb. 2 with the annual UW-Green Bay Black Student Union Soul Food Luncheon, Noon – 3pm in the Phoenix Rooms of the University Union. This year’s theme is the: Celebration of the Black Womyn with keynote speaker, Robyn Oguine, news reporter, anchor and producer of Local 5 News Channel.
