Pride Center publicizes ‘Campus Cupboard’ serving students in need
The Pride Center is currently collecting donations of dry food goods, personal care items, cleaning products, and some clothing items for the newly established Campus Food and Share Cupboard open to any UW-Green Bay student. The University Union has provided start-up space for this service that will be lead by the Pride Center and supported by individuals and student groups on campus and the community. The goal is to help any student who needs a boost at times to keep their focus on their studies — not on locating food or supplies when finances are challenged. Please check out the Pride Center web page for a list of items that can be donated to fill the cupboard. At this point of time, student requests for items or questions about donations should be sent via e-mail to Stacie Christian. Tax-deductible donations can be made via University Advancement under the title of “Ways to give.” Once the program ramps up in February, students will be able to submit a request via the Pride Center website, and then pick items up at a discreet location.
