Kraft on robocalls: Political ad landscape is changing
UW-Green Bay Prof. Michael Kraft weighed in on a federal “robocall” bill that met its legislative demise Wednesday (Dec. 14), telling WLUK, Fox 11 that the political advertising landscape is changing. “The way the game is played today, social networks and cell phones and phone calls are likely to be used much more than regular TV advertising,” Kraft said. “That’s the way it’s shaping up for 2012.” The bill that was killed Wednesday would have allowed automatic dialers — robocallers — to call an individual’s personal cellphone, even if he or she had signed the “Do Not Call” registry.
