Neon Perspective’s ‘Good Intentions’ to showcase at Milwaukee, Chicago festivals | Sheboygan Sun

A dedicated group of 16 local filmmakers teamed up to create a short film in 48 horrors in fall 2024 and now, that film has been selected to show in film festivals.

In fall of 2024, 16 local filmmakers partook in the annual 48 Hour Film Horror Sci-Fi Project -Wisconsin challenge under the team name Neon Perspective. Within literally 48 hours, the team wrote, filmed, and edited a 6-minute short horror feature with no budget. The short film they created is called “Good Intentions”.

“Good Intentions” has now been selected to screen in three fall film festivals. You can see “Good Intentions” at: – Milwaukee Illuminate Film Festival (miff. for short) in the Lavender Constellations block on Sept. 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the Avalon Atmospheric Theater in Milwaukee.

Chicago Horror Film Festival. The festival runs Sept. 26 to 28 at The Logan Theatre. The screening info is coming soon.

Sawdust City Fright Fest at the Time Community Theater in Oshkosh. The festival takes place Oct. 10 to 11. Screening info is coming soon.

The film’s logline is: A school psychologist has a hell of a night after a student claims she hears disturbing voices on her tape recorder. “I am so excited to see the Sheboygan film on such iconic screens,” says director/producer Aubrey Laux. “I hope that the audiences enjoy it and feel the passion the team had.”

The short was filmed entirely at the UW-Green Bay Sheboygan Campus. All of the filmmakers are based in Wisconsin; the majority of the team resides in the city of Sheboygan…
